The IoT-Based Smart Onion Warehouse project integrates Internet of Things (IoT) technology to provide real-time monitoring and automation of storage conditions. This innovative approach ensures the extended shelf life of onions, addressing critical issues such as rotting and decay.

Components and Technical Specifications

• IoT Circuit and Sensors:
  • DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor: Monitors the internal climate to maintain optimal conditions for onion storage.
  • MQ135 Sensor: Detects ammonia presence to ensure air quality.
  • MQ2 Sensor: Tracks carbon monoxide levels for contamination prevention.
  • ESP32 Dev Kit: Serves as the central processing unit, collecting and processing data from sensors.
• Ventilation and Heating System:

  The warehouse is equipped with automated fans and vents that regulate airflow, ensuring that all stored onions receive adequate ventilation.
